Thundr TV Help Center

The things people actually write in about, with the answer that usually fixes it. If yours is not here, contact support — a person reads it.

01Getting started

How do I start a match?

Open the site, tap the start button, and allow camera access when the browser asks. There is no form to fill in first. The first match usually arrives within a few seconds of the camera turning on.

Do I need an account?

Not to start. An account only becomes useful if you want settings and any balance to survive between visits, or if you want to keep the same identity across devices.

Is there an app to install?

No. It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and desktops. Adding it to your home screen from the browser menu gives you an app-style icon that opens straight into matching, without an app store.

02Camera, audio and connection

The camera stays black

Almost always a permission that was dismissed rather than granted. Open the padlock or camera icon in the browser address bar, set camera and microphone to Allow, and reload. If another app has the camera open — a video call in another tab, for example — close it first; most systems only hand the camera to one program at a time.

The other person cannot hear me

Check the microphone permission separately from the camera; browsers ask for them as two different things and it is easy to grant one. On phones, also check that the device is not muted at the hardware switch.

Matching never finds anyone

Usually a network that blocks real-time media — office, school and hotel networks often do. Trying on mobile data instead is the fastest way to tell the difference. If it works on data and not on Wi-Fi, the network is the cause.

Calls keep dropping

Video chat needs a steady connection more than a fast one. A weak Wi-Fi signal drops calls even when a speed test looks fine. Moving closer to the router, or switching to mobile data, usually settles it.

03Matching and other people

Can I choose who I match with?

No. Matching is random — that is what makes it random video chat rather than a directory. You cannot request a specific person or lock it to one country.

Why do I keep getting the same kind of match?

The queue reflects who happens to be online right then, and that shifts through the day as different regions wake up. Coming back at a different hour usually looks completely different.

How do I end a conversation?

Tap next. It ends immediately, the other person is not told anything, and you will not be reconnected to them. You do not owe anyone an explanation for skipping.

04Safety and reports

Someone is behaving badly — what do I do?

Open their profile during the call and use report or block. Reporting from inside the call attaches the context automatically, which makes it far more useful than describing it later. Tapping next also ends the match instantly.

What happens after I report someone?

It goes to a moderation queue that people review. Outcomes range from a warning to a restriction to removing the account, depending on what happened and whether there is a pattern. You will not always see the result of a report.

What should I never share?

Your password, any verification code, full payment card details, and — with someone you met a minute ago — your legal name, address or workplace. None of those are needed to use the site, and support will never ask for the first three.

05Account, coins and restrictions

What are coins for?

Optional extras. Starting a match is free; anything priced shows its price before you spend, and nothing is charged silently during a call.

My account has been restricted

Restrictions follow the Community Guidelines. If you think it was a mistake, write in with roughly when it happened and what you were doing — that is usually enough to find the record and look at it again. Opening a second account instead is treated as evasion.

A charge I do not recognise

Write in with the date and the amount. Never send a full card number by email — nobody legitimate needs it, and support will not ask.

06Still stuck

Write to [email protected] with what happened, roughly when, and your device and browser. For anything involving camera, audio or matching, that last detail is the single most useful thing you can include.
