What Thundr TV collects about you, why, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it. Written to be read rather than skimmed past.
Effective January 1, 2026Last updated April 2, 2026
Content you publish publicly — a profile page or an uploaded video, for example — may be indexed by search engines. After you delete or change it there can be a delay before search results catch up.
01Scope
Thundr TV (thundrtv.video) operates this service and is responsible for the personal information described here. Throughout this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Thundr TV.
This policy applies to everyone who uses Thundr TV — the website, the mobile web experience, and any related services. Using the platform means you have read it and understood it; if you do not agree with what it describes, stop using the service.
It covers, in order:
What information is collected, and how.
How that information is used, stored and protected.
When and why it may be shared.
What rights and choices you have over it.
How publicly visible content is handled.
02What is collected
Information you give us
Account details — email address, username, display name, password, and optional profile fields such as avatar, bio, date of birth and gender.
Content you create — videos, photos, comments, messages and anything else you publish or share.
Communications — messages to other users, support requests, and feedback you send us.
Payment details — billing and transaction information when you buy something. Processing runs through third-party providers and full card numbers are not stored by us.
Information collected automatically
Device — device type, operating system, browser, unique device identifiers and mobile network information.
Usage — pages visited, features used, interactions with content, time spent, and referring URLs.
Location — approximate location derived from IP address, or more precise location from your device where you have consented to it.
Logs — server records of IP address, access times and system activity.
Information from third parties
Social login — if you sign in through a service such as Google or Apple, that service may pass us your name, email address and profile picture.
Analytics providers — aggregated or anonymised usage data that helps us understand how the platform is used.
03How it is used
Running the service — operating the platform, processing transactions, delivering the features you ask for.
Personalisation — tailoring your experience, including recommendations, match suggestions and interface preferences.
Communication — service notifications, replies to your questions, and support.
Safety and security — detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and breaches of the terms and guidelines.
Analytics and improvement — understanding usage patterns, fixing problems, building new features.
Legal compliance — meeting legal obligations, enforcing the terms, and protecting the rights, property or safety of users and the public.
04What is public, what is not
Parts of the platform are social by design, so some of what you give us is meant to be seen. It is worth knowing exactly which is which:
Display name / nickname
May be public
Shown on a public profile and next to anything you post.
Profile photo or avatar
May be public
Shown on your profile and beside your comments.
Public profile page
May be public
Reachable at its own URL and, if discovered, may be indexed.
Uploaded videos
May be public
Visible to other users when published publicly; may appear in search results.
Public comments
May be public
Shown alongside the content they were posted on.
Email address
Private
Never shown publicly. Used for verification and for contacting you.
Phone number
Private
Never shown publicly. Used for account security if you provide one.
Password
Never shared
Stored encrypted. Not visible to anyone, including our own staff.
Be deliberate about what you publish. Once something is public it can be viewed, shared and indexed, and although you can delete it at any time, cached copies may survive elsewhere for a while.
05Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies are used to store information as you use the platform:
Essential — needed for the platform to work at all: authentication, security, session handling.
Performance — anonymous usage data that shows how visitors interact with the site.
Functional — remembering preferences such as language and display options.
Your browser controls cookies, and most browsers let you block or delete them — the instructions are in your browser's help pages. Be aware that switching some of them off will break parts of the platform.
06Who it is shared with
We do not sell your personal information.
It is shared only in these situations:
With your consent — when you explicitly authorise it.
Service providers — vendors who help run the platform (hosting, payment processing, analytics), under confidentiality obligations.
Legal requirements — where law, regulation, legal process or a government request requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Thundr TV, its users, or the public.
Business transfers — as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets.
Aggregated data — anonymised data that cannot reasonably be traced back to you.
07How long it is kept
Information is kept as long as it is needed to run the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Active accounts — retained while the account remains active.
Deleted accounts — personal data is removed or anonymised within a reasonable period, except where the law requires it to be kept.
Content — public content that others have already seen or interacted with may be retained in anonymised form after deletion.
Legal holds — some records are kept longer to satisfy legal, tax or regulatory requirements.
08Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask us to:
Access — give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correct — fix information that is wrong or incomplete.
Delete — remove your personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
Port — provide a machine-readable copy you can take elsewhere.
Opt out — stop marketing messages, via the unsubscribe link or your notification settings.
Restrict — limit how your data is used in certain circumstances.
To use any of these, write to [email protected]. Requests are answered within a reasonable time and in line with the law that applies to you.
09Children's privacy
Thundr TV is not for anyone under 18, or under the higher minimum age where that applies. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below that age.
If we learn that we have, we take steps to delete it as quickly as we can. If you believe someone underage has given us personal information, tell us at [email protected].
10Security
Technical and organisational measures are in place to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and destruction:
Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
Access controls and authentication mechanisms.
Storage on industry-standard infrastructure.
Staff training on data protection.
No method of transmitting or storing data electronically is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise. Use a strong, unique password and be careful about what you share online.
11Third parties
The platform may link to websites, services or applications that we do not operate. This policy does not cover them, and you should read their privacy policies before using them.
Third-party services may be integrated for:
Social login and sharing
Payment processing
Analytics and performance monitoring
Content delivery and hosting
Customer support tooling
12Updates
This policy may change as the service, the law or our practices change. When it does, the "Last updated" date above is revised and material changes are notified through the platform or another suitable channel. Continuing to use Thundr TV after an update means you accept the revised version.
13Contact
Privacy questions, data requests, or anything in this policy that is not clear — write to [email protected]. The Contact page explains what to include so a request can be handled in one round.
